Scourges and Nails

They tied your arms up
And ripped off your clothes
So they could clearly see the flesh they would mutilate
39 lashes
With leather straps and sharp bones
That tore into your flesh
And snapped it off in pieces
Once so light and airy
Now slumped and heavy
As if a giant boulder lay on every cut and bruise
Almost relieved to lay down on that wooden cross
Because carrying it in your condition
Was nearly impossible
Blood all over the place
Hiding the bruises
Your head lay back across the thorns
….it was all you could do to lift your head so they didn’t stab your scull anymore
Dizzy with pain
Hard to breath
Vision blurred and rested on the sky
Your arm was pulled and then a point was placed
But what came next is hard for anyone to imagine
The nail went right through your bones and crushed them
Only flesh held the nail in place
Next came the tug at your legs as they crossed them
One on top of the other
And there couldn’t have been anything more painful
As the nail drove through both
It took six whacks of the hammer to go all the way through
Too late now to turn back
You reeled in pain
And begged for mercy
And this would actually become your name
As the cross was lifted
The entire weight of your body tore at the wounds
And you hung, not for a minute
But for three hours like that
You used those very moments
Those agonizing centuries
You prayed every single moment
And offered your torture up so we wouldn’t be
I feel guilty now thanking you for that sacrifice
For nothing could be worse
I wish us all to hell instead of putting you through that
But then, that is me
And not you Sweet Jesus

Twelve Desecrations

I peer around in the world
watching, waiting for something I recognize.
A tear that might slide down a face,
a lowered head
grasping at his temples
a look of sheer pain
as they realize what you have done

First off
You were so scared.
All knowing-
you were terrified at what was to come.
Terrified so badly
your sweat was that of blood
preparing to be shed.
Oh innocent lamb!
The fright you must have felt!

Secondly, they stripped your clothes off
And tied you to a pillar
they whiped you senselessly
and when that didn’t satisfy them
they took a scourge and ripped your flesh off in pieces.

We simple humans cry over a paper cut
But look at you! Every inch of your flesh is a wound.

As if that was not enough, they shoved a crown of thorns deep into your temples
Those thorns stayed, and drove further into your skull
especially when the cross tripped you down
and you smashed your knees on the rocky road
It was then that the heavy wooden cross shoved those thorns even deeper.

Fourthly, they wiped you again, all the way to Calvary.
I often ask God why
And He has said because you were dying on the way
it made your time on the cross shorter.
Must He walk while He was dying?

Not once did you save yourself from that
You thought of him, and her, and me
Aad it made you carry on in your misery
all the while you remembered us, and carried on

Exhausted beyond what we can fathom
With every inch of your skin burning
and your head pounding and searing with pain
your knees smashed up
And with a mighty thirst,
you lay yourself down on that cross, ready to die

That was good enough for your enemies.
They stretched your arms even further than they could go
and dislocated them from the sockets
pinning them in place with nine inch nails
right through your flesh

Your Holy Word never mentions you screaming in agony
But I cannot imagine that you didn’t
Maybe the screams of your mother who watched were louder
I am not sure
But when I put myself briefly into that place
My little mind cannot fathom the pain
I have never felt pain like that
Even in childbirth

You were so frail and pinned down
But even that wasn’t good enough for your enemies.
They turned the giant cross over with you under it, and again
It smashed the thorns even deeper into your skull
and your flesh ripped with the weight of your body
Oh Christ! What have you done!

I peer around in the world
Watching, waiting for something I recognize
A tear that might slide down a face
A lowered head
Grasping at his temples
A look of sheer pain
As they realize what you have done
And 2013 years later
I can find none that remember

YOU should be exalted as our King
Adorned everyday
Thanked and cried over
Worshipped and mourned for your sacrifice
But instead-
We dance around naked, laughing, snorting, partying it up
Not even speaking your name
Forgetting what you did for us

Well, Dear Jesus
I have not forgotten
ad in my mind
I kiss your wounds one at a time

Through my tears, I pray for those who don’t
For some, remembering you is a way of life
and for some
They won’t know what life is
until it is taken away

It is those that I beg for mercy for
on this day.

Leave Your Body Behind

The Divine Mercy, "Jesus I Trust In You!"

The Divine Mercy, “Jesus I Trust In You!”

LEAVE YOUR BODY BEHIND!

I LIGHT SEVERAL CANDLES, AND SIT DOWN AT THE TABLE IN FRONT OF THEM. Behind my closed eyes, I can see the flicker of light, but then soon, I am lost in thought, and don’t see much from my body’s eyes. I place myself before the throne of God the Almighty, on my knees, my head down, my arms opened wide. I kneel down on top of the world, and to my right, The Bleeding Christ is crucified, and out of his side pours an ocean of blood and water. I am dressed in a white rope, with a ribbon at the waist. My blond hair is adorned in flowers flowing down my back, and a small white headband with flowers is on top, holding my hair back.
God looks down at me, my vision is blinking in and out as I resist the thoughts of the world, spread my arms out and say, “Eternal Father,” then both of my arms gesture to the Bleeding Savior, “I offer you the body, blood, soul, and divinity of your dearly beloved son, our Lord Jesus Christ in atonement for my sins, and for the whole world.” I then clasp my hands together in front of me in prayer and say, “Have Mercy on us,” and then spreading my arms out to gesture to the world beneath me is say, “and on the whole world. “
That I say for the Our Father beads on a rosary I hold in my hand.

For the Hail Mary beads, each one, I gesture to the Crucified Lord and say, “For the sake of His sorrowful passion, (then clasping my hands as if begging in prayer ) have mercy on us, then gesturing to the world below me, ”And on the whole world.”
As I continue to pray, The Almighty Lord says with his thunderous voice, “Who is this sinner before me?” And down from the staircase descends the most beautiful Saint Faustina, to come to my defense so fireballs are not thrown at my spirit. I jump up to run to her arms, stumbling down I grasp her legs, and then fall through them, as she is in spirit. She lifts me off the crust of the Earth, and stands in front of me. She raises both of our arms so that all of the fingers touch, and them we bow heads, side by side until our heads rest on each other’s shoulders. This is her spiritual embrace. She thanks me for saying the prayer she wrote in her diary.
Instantly, she is gone, and I am left alone again with The Almighty, high up on his throne, and our crucified Lord to my right, again I resume my pleas to our God.
“Eternal Father,” and my spread out arms gesture both to the bleeding savior, “I offer you the body, blood, soul, and divinity of your dearly beloved son, our Lord Jesus Christ in atonement for my sins, and for the whole world.” I then clasp my hands together in front of me in prayer and say, “Have Mercy on us,” and then spreading my arms out to gesture to the world beneath me is say, “and on the whole world. “
And then for the hail Mary beads I say for each, , I gesture to the Crucified Lord and say, “For the sake of His sorrowful passion, (then clasping my hands as if begging in prayer ) have mercy on us, then gesturing to the world below me, “And on the whole world.”
As I pray, the thoughts of the world fade away, and I am lifted in spirit to that which I imagine to be Heaven. There are no procession of saint, there are no angels, no cherubim, no seraphim, just God, Jesus and me. I have found that when I speak out loud, I am drawn back into my body. I have found that when my lips are closed, and I am gesturing to the Almighty, my words come out more slowly, as if time is different there, and there I remain.
While I am spending time with our Lord, my addictions are gone, my needs don’t exist, my coffee goes cold, and the cigarettes in the garage I don’t even think of. He takes all of my body away, and all that which is material fails to exist.
Before I sit down to pray, I am still me, and I think of all of the things I have to do that day, I look at the clock and wonder how much time I have, wishing I didn’t have to stop and do this. But once I commence with the ritual, I see how pertinent it is to beg for mercy, and all time and matter ceases to exist. I always feel guilty later for not having wanted to spend that time, when it is so great while it is happening.

If you feel that praying is not “your thing” and you don’t really know how to do it, then try what I have done. Put yourself before the throne, with the savior there to protect you from fireballs being thrown at you, and spiritually imagine yourself there. You will never want to come back. A peace will engulf you, and you will see that the life beyond what we know is a spiritual life free of chains and burdens, free of body and materials.
You will move all of Heaven when you do this, and every prayer you say will be stored in the Treasury of Heaven, that Jesus will empty out of our day of judgment, when we will all rise and join The Army of God, and finally crush the evil one who bothers us day in and day out. Be a good soldier now, and do your duty, and you will reap the benefits later, and perhaps you might not burn so long in Purgatory.

We here on Earth have the potential to change the course of the world, to delay the last day coming, to put out the fire of God’s great wrath, and to save from hell even the most hardened sinners, for those are the ones that will benefit from our prayers.

Here is the novena which I say, in order that you might say it properly, for Heaven is proper, and should be addressed in a most holy fashion.

Print the following out, and keep it beside your candles, along with a rosary to keep track of your prayers. Remember, this only takes fifteen minutes of your precious time, but since time is different in Heaven, it might seem to them that you have been there half the day. It is worth something!
If you would like a colored and beautiful copy of the Divine Mercy Chaplet, send me your address and I will send you one in the mail, along with a rosary I will make for you, free of any charge. I will also have your rosary blessed by a Catholic priest.

How to Recite the Chaplet of Divine Mercy

The Chaplet of Mercy is recited using ordinary rosary beads of five decades. At the National Shrine of Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Massachusetts the Chaplet is preceded by two opening prayers from the Diary of Saint Faustina and followed by a closing prayer.

Opening Prayers
You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us.
O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!
Begin with the Our Father, the Hail Mary and the Apostle’s Creed:
Our FatherOur Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.
Hail MaryHail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.
The Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified; died, and was buried. He descended into Hell; the third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Then, on the large bead before each decade:
Eternal Father,
I offer you the Body and Blood,
Soul and Divinity,
of Your Dearly Beloved Son,
Our Lord, Jesus Christ,
in atonement for our sins
and those of the whole world.
On the ten small beads of each decade, say:
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion,
have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Conclude with (Say 3 Times):
Holy God,
Holy Mighty One,
Holy Immortal One,
have mercy on us
and on the whole world.

Closing PrayerEternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.

Our Lord said to Saint Faustina:
Encourage souls to say the Chaplet which I have given you … Whoever will recite it will receive great mercy at the hour of death … When they say this chaplet in the presence of the dying, I will stand between my Father and the dying person, not as the Just Judge but as the Merciful Savior … Priests will recommend it to sinners as their last hope of salvation. Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this chaplet only once, he would receive grace from my infinite mercy. I desire to grant unimaginable graces to those souls who trust in My mercy … Through the Chaplet you will obtain everything, if what you ask for is compatible with My will.

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy as a Novena
The Chaplet can be said anytime, but the Lord specifically asked that it be recited as a novena. He promised, “By this Novena (of Chaplets), I will grant every possible grace to souls.”For each of the nine days, our Lord gave Saint Faustina a different intention: all mankind, especially sinners; the souls of priests and religious; all devout and faithful souls; those who do not believe in God and those who do not yet know Jesus; the souls who have separated themselves from the Church; the meek and humble souls and the souls of little children; the souls who especially venerate and glorify His mercy; the souls detained in purgatory; and souls who have become lukewarm.

“I desire that during these nine days you bring souls to the fountain of My mercy, that they may draw therefrom strength and refreshment and whatever grace they have need of in the hardships of life, and especially at the hour of death.”
We, too, can make a novena of prayer for these intentions and others, especially by praying the Chaplet of The Divine Mercy.

Intentions for Each Day of the Novena
First Day
Today bring to Me ALL MANKIND, ESPECIALLY ALL SINNERS
Most Merciful Jesus, whose very nature it is to have compassion on us and to forgive us, do not look upon our sins but upon our trust which we place in Your infinite goodness. Receive us all into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart, and never let us escape from it. We beg this of You by Your love which unites You to the Father and the Holy Spirit.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon all mankind and especially upon poor sinners, all enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion show us Your mercy, that we may praise the omnipotence of Your mercy for ever and ever. Amen.
Second DayToday bring to Me THE SOULS OF PRIESTS AND RELIGIOUS
Most Merciful Jesus, from whom comes all that is good, increase Your grace in men and women consecrated to Your service, that they may perform worthy works of mercy; and that all who see them may glorify the Father of Mercy who is in heaven.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the company of chosen ones in Your vineyard–upon the souls of priests and religious; and endow them with the strength of Your blessing. For the love of the Heart of Your Son in which they are enfolded, impart to them Your power and light, that they may be able to guide others in the way of salvation and with one voice sing praise to Your boundless mercy for ages without end. Amen.
Third DayToday bring to Me ALL DEVOUT AND FAITHFUL SOULS
Most Merciful Jesus, from the treasury of Your mercy You impart Your graces in great abundance to each and all. Receive us into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart and never let us escape from it. We beg this of You by that most wondrous love for the heavenly Father with which Your Heart burns so fiercely.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon faithful souls, as upon the inheritance of Your Son. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, grant them Your blessing and surround them with Your constant protection. Thus may they never fail in love or lose the treasure of the holy faith, but rather, with all the hosts of Angels and Saints, may they glorify your boundless mercy for endless ages. Amen.
Fourth Day
Today bring to Me THOSE WHO DO NOT BELIEVE IN GOD AND THOSE WHO DO NOT YET KNOW ME
Most compassionate Jesus, You are the Light of the whole world. Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who do not believe in God and of those who as yet do not know You. Let the rays of Your grace enlighten them that they, too, together with us, may extol Your wonderful mercy; and do not let them escape from the abode which is Your Most Compassionate Heart.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls of those who do not believe in You, and of those who as yet do not know You, but who are enclosed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Draw them to the light of the Gospel. These souls do not know what great happiness it is to love You. Grant that they, too, may extol the generosity of Your mercy for endless ages. Amen.
Fifth Day
Today bring to Me THE SOULS OF THOSE WHO HAVE SEPARATED THEMSELVES FROM MY CHURCH
Most Merciful Jesus, Goodness Itself, You do not refuse light to those who seek it of You. Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who have separated themselves from Your Church. Draw them by Your light into the unity of the Church, and do not let them escape from the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart; but bring it about that they, too, come to glorify the generosity of Your mercy.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls of those who have separated themselves from Your Son’s Church, who have squandered Your blessings and misused Your graces by obstinately persisting in their errors. Do not look upon their errors, but upon the love of Your own Son and upon His bitter Passion, which He underwent for their sake, since they, too, are enclosed in His Most Compassionate Heart. Bring it about that they also may glorify Your great mercy for endless ages. Amen.
Sixth DayToday bring to Me THE MEEK AND HUMBLE SOULS AND THE SOULS OF LITTLE CHILDREN
Most Merciful Jesus, You yourself have said, “Learn from Me for I am meek and humble of heart.” Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart all meek and humble souls and the souls of little children. These souls send all heaven into ecstasy and they are the heavenly Father’s favorites. They are a sweet-smelling bouquet before the throne of God; God himself takes delight in their fragrance. These souls have a permanent abode in Your Most Compassionate Heart, O Jesus, and they unceasingly sing out a hymn of love and mercy.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon meek souls, upon humble souls, and upon little children who are enfolded in the abode which is the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. These souls bear the closest resemblance to Your Son. Their fragrance rises from the earth and reaches Your very throne. Father of mercy and of all goodness, I beg You by the love You bear these souls and by the delight You take in them: Bless the whole world, that all souls together may sing out the praises of Your mercy for endless ages. Amen.
Seventh DayToday bring to Me THE SOULS WHO ESPECIALLY VENERATE AND GLORIFY MY MERCY
Most Merciful Jesus, whose Heart is Love Itself, receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who particularly extol and venerate the greatness of Your mercy. These souls are mighty with the very power of God Himself. In the midst of all afflictions and adversities they go forward, confident of Your mercy; and united to You, O Jesus, they carry all mankind on their shoulders. These souls will not be judged severely, but Your mercy will embrace them as they depart from this life.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls who glorify and venerate Your greatest attribute, that of Your fathomless mercy, and who are enclosed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. These souls are a living Gospel; their hands are full of deeds of mercy, and their hearts, overflowing with joy, sing a canticle of mercy to You, O Most High! I beg You O God: Show them Your mercy according to the hope and trust they have placed in You. Let there be accomplished in them the promise of Jesus, who said to them that during their life, but especially at the hour of death, the souls who will venerate this fathomless mercy of His, He, Himself, will defend as His glory. Amen.
Eighth Day
Today bring to Me THE SOULS WHO ARE DETAINED IN PURGATORY
Most Merciful Jesus, You Yourself have said that You desire mercy; so I bring into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls in Purgatory, souls who are very dear to You, and yet, who must make retribution to Your justice. May the streams of Blood and Water which gushed forth from Your Heart put out the flames of Purgatory, that there, too, the power of Your mercy may be celebrated.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls suffering in Purgatory, who are enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. I beg You, by the sorrowful Passion of Jesus Your Son, and by all the bitterness with which His most sacred Soul was flooded: Manifest Your mercy to the souls who are under Your just scrutiny. Look upon them in no other way but only through the Wounds of Jesus, Your dearly beloved Son; for we firmly believe that there is no limit to Your goodness and compassion. Amen.
Ninth DayToday bring to Me SOULS WHO HAVE BECOME LUKEWARM
Most compassionate Jesus, You are Compassion Itself. I bring lukewarm souls into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart. In this fire of Your pure love let these tepid souls, who like corpses, filled You with such deep loathing, be once again set aflame. O Most Compassionate Jesus, exercise the omnipotence of Your mercy and draw them into the very ardor of Your love, and bestow upon them the gift of holy love, for nothing is beyond Your power.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon lukewarm souls who are nonetheless enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Father of Mercy, I beg You by the bitter Passion of Your Son and by His three-hour agony on the Cross: Let them, too, glorify the abyss of Your mercy. Amen.

All in Three Days Time

Do you know what Jesus did after he was crucified? There were three days of our time lost to us, but He was on a serious mission. He rose up out of that grave, his spirit flew right up to Heaven. There was a gigantic party going on there, all of Heaven was rejoicing and singing, but Jesus said to them, “I can not stay, I have things to do.” So he went to his father, and asked for the key to hell. The almighty God gladly gave it to Him, for he couldn’t take any more of the wailing and screaming in his ears. Jesus then chose twelve of the biggest brightest angels, and rushed back down to the Earth, and then continued beyound the crust, deep into the core of The Earth. For a moment he gazed at the gigantic gates, and then pushed his key into the lock. The angels rushed in, and one by one they brought to Him the souls who had no hope after death, and had no redeemer, no salvation.

Jesus looked deep into the hearts and pasts of each and every one of them, and there were millions, great and small. One by one, he let them out to the other side of the gate, and asked them to wait. There were very few souls left in hell when he was done. On the free side of the gate stood a multitude of souls, rejoicing, singing, and dancing about The Mercy of the Lord. They cried out, “Mercy has saved us! Mercy has saved us!” and from then on, his name became just that, Mercy.

When he was done collecting his father’s lost souls, in a great procession they danced up a glorious staircase, accompanied by angels, seraphim, and cherubim. All were joyful when they entered the gates of Heaven, and one by one, Michael the Arc Angel wrote their names in the book of life.

Who knows how long this act of Jesus actually took, for a day here on Earth is a thousand days in Heaven. There was still a celebration going on there when he returned from Hell with the fallen ones, but again, he did not stay, saying, “I have more work to do.” He once again left Heaven, and returned to Earth, and as a risen Lord, he appeared to over four hundred people, to prove him self, and to set about his Holy Spirit on Earth.

Only occasionally does he sit at the right hand of The Father, for most of the time, he is right here among us, working for us, moving things to our benefit, and protecting us from certain death, for he has seen Hell with his eyes, and never wants any of us to end up there.

2013 years ago on this very day, this is what was happening to our people, your very own relatives.
